Tarah and Peter were married at St. Peter Parish n the North Side of Pittsburgh with their reception at The Heinz History Center. They were married one day and ten years apart from Elizabeth and my wedding day, so we will always be close to sharing
each milestone anniversary!
Tarah and Peter got ready a few rooms apart from each other at the Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburgh while her bridesmaids kept an occasional watch to make sure neither saw each other in the hallway. Tarah’s bridesmaids were a lively, fun group who never stopped laughing, aside from the emotional moments when they saw Tarah in her wedding dress for the first time. Peter is from Buffalo (but wisely changed allegiances from the Bills to the Steelers in years ago), paid homage to his home town with socks decorated with Buffalos!
Their ceremony had more than their fair share of laughs. Their pastor have know Peter’s family for years and gave a heartfelt, personal sermon that made everyone feel like they knew Peter and Tarah even more than they already had. Plus, he pulled a practical joke on Peter’s uncle during the ceremony, which is just awesome.
The reception at The Heinz History Center was spectacular, topped off by a tearful speech by Tarah’s father, a captivating first dance and one of the rocking-est (is that a word) dance floors you will ever see. If that wasn’t enough, Tarah and Peter deferred from the traditional wedding cake to an ice cream station. It was incredibly cool, as you just cannot beat a photograph of a bride and groom feeding each other from an enormous bowl of ice cream! Tarah and Peter, we are so tremendously happy for you both! Congratulations!!
