We'd love to share with you the story of how we became engaged, and within it, the story of how we met. This article was published in the Evansville Courier & Press, the newspaper where Elizabeth and I were staff photographers together for nearly eight years.

Elizabeth read this in the paper after she woke up, and fortunately for me she said yes! After she said she would marry me, the next question she asked was this.

"This isn''t really in the newspaper, is it?"

I guess she thought I had made a fake copy, but it was real and there were nearly 100,000 people reading it as well. In the eight years of shooting thousands of assignments there, the thing I was most remembered for was one of the few articles that I wrote.

This was published nearly twleve years ago, and every word is still as true as it was that day.
