On our way home that night, we remembered that it was Light Up Night 2010 in Pittsburgh. It was the 50th anniversary of the celebration, so it was a pretty big deal. With the fireworks going off around 9:45, we figured we might be able to catch a glimpse of them during the drive. We got more than a glimpse! We lucked out with our timing, and pulled up a block from the Warhol Bridge, only minutes before the show started. We parked, no one gave us a hard time, and we had a front row seat ( well, not really a seat) for the festivities. The fireworks were spectacular, the kids loved it and we had a wonderful night!
