Garrett Reid, the son of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid passed away at the age of 28 last week, and Reid made his return to the sidelines Thursday. The Eagles paid tribute to Garrett before the national anthem, and Reid, accompanied by quarterback Michael Vick, took in the emotional ceremony near midfield. In addition, the Steelers unveiled their new look offense under offensive coordinator Todd Haley, and the first half had a different feel than previous preseason games. Here is a collection of my favorites from the game.

Bill started his day at the Wyndham Grand in Oakland, where all of his guys were in full force ready to go! They were having entirely too much fun before they also made their way to St. Nick’s briefly, and then to Heinz Chapel. We joke all of the time that no matter how much you plan for a wedding, things will never go exactly as planned. Apparently, one of the groomsmen left the keys inside of the rented van and a window was shattered in an attempt to get in. Bill, getting married in a few hours, had a few cuts and scrapes to handle before heading over to the church!

Bill, who is a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, surprised Andreana with a wedding gift of a personalized Steelers jersey. Even in his graciousness, he had a hard time avoiding all of the written and verbal messages throughout the wedding about him converting over to becoming a Steelers fan!

As the girls gathered for a last minute huddle and cheer, Bill nervously awaited Andreana’s arrival on center stage. Unlike the window incident, the ceremony was exactly as planned! With the weather being so special, we took the opportunity for some outside portraits around campus, and a group of rugby players outside of Heinz Chapel stopped their game to give the newlyweds a standing ovation.

The reception was held at the Cathedral Room at St. Nick’s in Oakland. Andreana and Bill’s first dance literally brought tears, as her mom and sister cried together while watching the touching moment. It was now time to crank it up, and they certainly did not disappoint. Andreana is the cheerleader coach at a South Hills high school, so between her energetic cheerleaders from school and their other unbelievably energetic wedding guests, it was non-stop party that was at times hysterical that never lacked excitement. DJ Eric Scheimer, who did a superb job throughout the entire evening, finished the night with one last dance for Andreana and Bill that was the perfect ending.

We were so thrilled to be a part of their special day, thank you Andreana and Bill. Congratulations again!!
