Ben & Stephanie | Saint Margaret of Scotland Parish | The Priory

Once again i had the pleasure with working with Annie O’Neill of Annie O’Neill Weddings for Stephanie and Ben’s wedding. The ceremony was held at Saint Margaret Parish in Greentree and their reception was at The Priory on the north side. I (Vincent) hung out with the guys at The Priory as they got ready having a blast telling stories and laughing at some photographs as they got ready for Ben’s big day. The ceremony was extremely emotional, as Ben couldn’t hold back tears as the pastor spoke about his late father. Ben had his Cuff Links made from a photograph of him and his dad. Stephanie couldn’t get the smile off of her face if she tried, she looks so happy! We went to the north side for some portraits after the ceremony, and the reception was complete madness, in a good way! From the moment they were introduced ( with Ben wearing a Justin Beiber wig) through the entire night, it felt as much like a hopping club as a wedidng reception! Congratulations Ben and Stephanie, and thank you to them and Annie for letting me be part of the day!

We are so excited to share with all of out that our friend Annie O’ Neill, who earned a Bachelor in Journalism from the University of Missouri and is a former staff photographer The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Pulitzer Prize nominee, has an exhibition at the Filmmakers Gallery in Oakland displaying two series that she has been dedicated to. One series which she has been working on for more than 15 years examines individuals who have been worked for 50 years or more at the same job. The second series, named Uniformity, is a collection of color photographs that reveal people through the uniforms that they wear

For her 50 Years of Service series, she photographed an extensive group of professionals, ranging from former White House journalist Helen Thomas and Pittsburgh Steelers Defensive Coordinator and NFL Hall of Famer Dick Lebeau to cobblers, farmers and professional from all walks of life. Her work is on view from March 21 through April 17, 2011 with the opening reception will be held on Friday, March 25 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. It is free and open to the public.We hope to see you there!

Kali & Partha | Pittsburgh Indian Wedding Photography | Sri Venkateswara Temple| The Fairmont Hotel Pittsburgh

I had the honor of photographing Kali & Partha’s intimate Indian wedding with Annie O’Neill. It was a change of pace, because besides Annie and myself, Kali and Partha were the only people at the wedding. They met in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. We started then, as I was responsible for most of the still photography and Annie shot all of the video for their multimedia project. It was truly breathtaking as Kali slowly walked down the staircase to meet her groom. After a short portrait session at the hotel, the four of us traveled to the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Monroeville, where their ceremony was held. It was such and interesting and educational day! Of the nearly 200 weddings that we have photographed, never before have we spent the entire day with a couple without guests, family or a reception. It was so sweet to watch their love for each other show throughout the entire day, without all of the distractions that come from planning a big wedding. Kali and Partha returned to home in Detroit after the ceremony for another ceremony and reception with their family and friends. Congratulations again, it was a pleasure spending the day with you both!
