This was just a lucky find for me. It was the end of the night at Katie & Adam’s wedding and the reception had just ended. After packing up my lights and saying goodbye to everyone, I noticed that a downpour had just started so I took a quicker route to the car to avoid getting drenched. After turning the corner, I stopped in my tracks when I saw this little guy. I initially stopped so I didn’t wake him up, but I realized quickly that he was totally knocked out AND it was so adorable. I dropped all of my bags to make the picture but the funniest part was that he was just on the dance floor spinning and living it up less than a half hour earlier!

This is another new column that we are introducing to our blog this week. The idea came about after multiple conversations with other photographers and even some potential clients. The latter wondered if it was even necessary to have so many photographs of the same people dancing and the former often questioned the need for a photographer to be there so late into the night for similar photographs over and over. Our response was always that the end of the night was incredibly fun for us because it gave us the platform to really be creative and experiment with lighting, angles and ideas. Some of our most unique reception images have come from the last hour of the event. So, without further ado, we present…The Last Hour!
